Can I use my music with an iPod or an iPhone? |
|||||
All devices and handsets that are capable of storing and playing full-length music files support our DRM-Free MP3 downloads. This includes iTunes/iPhone etc. You will have no problem opening MP3s on such devices and storing them into your music folders and libraries. This will be just as easy on a PC as it would be on a Mac.
We want to make a note with respect to protected WMA and WMV files: At this point, it is rare that you will have to deal with a WMA or WMV file with encryption DRM on it. However, should you run into content that is only available for your computer in WMA or WMV, please remember that iTunes and iPod/iPhone do not recognize protected WMA and WMV files. As a result, you cannot directly transfer the songs you downloaded in secure WMA format to your iPod. In the case of WMV Video, you can only play it on your PC and Windows Mobile devices. In the case of WMA audio, you must first burn an audio CD and then save those songs back into your iTunes library (import and convert to AAC format), then you may transfer them to your iPod. If you have any additional questions regarding the iPhone or iPod, we recommend visiting www.apple.com for support. |
